Your use of our website is at your own risk. We do not guarantee that our websites are free from viruses, or that access to our sites will be uninterrupted. You should therefore ensure that the way you access our websites does not expose your equipment to the risk of viruses or other forms of interference which may damage it.

Privacy

When you visit our website, we may collect personal information about, you, particularly if, for example, you perform transactions via internet banking.

Our Privacy Framework sets out how we deal with personal information about you, both generally and in specific circumstances, such as lending. You can find out how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information about you, as well as how you may complain if you think we may have breached your privacy.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device. We use cookies to collect personal information directly from you when you interact with us through our public website, Internet Banking, or our Mobile Banking app.

Now and into the future, cookies will be used to help us further personalise and enhance your browsing experience with us. We collect limited personal information about you via cookies for the following purposes:

Security

Cookies can help secure a user’s experience by simplifying login, maintaining session integrity, or validating content entered into form fields. We do this to effectively manage our business risks, and verify online banking customers and carry out other essential security checks to offer you a secure and reliable online banking service.

Personalise and improve your customer experience

Cookies can be used to remember user preferences or understand traffic or web pages. We do this to help us to remember you the next time you visit our website, help us identify products and services that may be of interest and value to you, tailor digital content to your interests, and improve the pages you visited by making them faster or more efficient.

Measurement and analysis

Cookies can be used to collect data (including location) about users who interact with our public website, Internet Banking, or Mobile Banking app. This depersonalised data is stored and analysed by us and we do this to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

For statistical purposes, we collect information on website activity (such as the number of users who visit our website, the date and time of visits, the number of pages viewed, navigation patterns, what country and what systems users have used to access the site and, when entering our website from another website, the address of that website) through the use of cookies. This information, on its own, does not identify an individual but provides us with statistics that we can use to analyse and improve our website.
Marketing and communication

Cookies can be used to launch segmented marketing campaigns or promote new services. We do this to determine which products or services may be of interest and value to you and to tell you about them, and advise you of new website, Internet Banking, or Mobile Banking app services or features.

Display advertising

We use Google advertising programs that use cookies to improve your online experience, including the display of more relevant ads on external websites. As you browse our website, advertising cookies will be placed on your computer so that we can understand what you are interested in. Our display advertising partners then enable us to present you with advertising on other sites based on your previous interaction with our website. The techniques our partners employ do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, or telephone number. Anyone can opt out of these programs at any time by visiting Google’s My Ad Center website.
