As the Principal of one of the largest primary schools in the state, Dalmeny Public School and a proven leader, he was an obvious choice for the scholarship. Clayton was awarded the scholarship because of his: Service to the teaching community; he has been a principal for 13 years and leads one of the largest primary schools in the state. Existing leadership qualities; he holds many leadership positions including the President of the Liverpool Primary Principals Council. Commitment to his own and others learning; he has a wide network who he regular shares his knowledge with. Investment into good educational programs; last year his school ran a student wellbeing program to reduce bad behaviour and increase learning outcomes. Clayton will fly out to Harvard for a one week intensive leadership program, Leadership: An Evolving Vision in July. Learn more
