$40,000 of Future Teachers Scholarships now open for 2016

‘We are passionate about teaching - are you?’ 

Our Future Teacher Scholarships provide financial assistance to university students studying education, to remove some of the financial burden and allow you to focus on becoming the best teacher you can be.  

This year we have increased the number of scholarships on offer to eight, each worth $5,000, in addition to awarding 10 runners up with $250 each.

Applications open on Monday, 12 October 2015 and close Friday, 12 February 2016.

Since 2009 our Future Teacher Scholarship program has given $215,000 worth of  scholarships and prizes to more than 60 deserving students.

To be eligible to apply you must be an Australian tertiary education student currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor, Diploma or Masters of Education or Teaching *. 

When reviewing your application we are looking for three things:

• An excellent written application
• Financial need
• A passion for teaching

As part of the application Future Teacher Scholarship recipients must also submit an essay addressing “Teaching – why is it more than just a job”
