Our Teachers Environment Fund was launched in March 2008 to assist schools and TAFE/CITs to enhance their sustainability. We offer grants of up to $2,000 bi-annually to help them bring their environmental projects to life.

    2015 Round One Teachers Environment Fund winners announced

    Our Teachers Environment Fund was launched in March 2008 to assist schools and TAFE/CITs to enhance their sustainability. We offer grants of up to $2,000 bi-annually to help them bring their environmental projects to life.

    Congratulations to the 2015 Round One winning schools:

    • Jindabyne Central School
    • Ladysmith Public School 
    • Bexhill Public School
    • Camden Public School 
    • Charlestown Public School
    • Cobar Public School
    • Georges River Grammar School
    • Lakemba Public School 
    • Murwillumbah High School 
    • Northlakes High School  
    • Nowra Public School
    • St Ives Park Public School 
    • Catholic Learning Community of Blessed John XXIII
    • Waratah Public School
    • Beldon Primary School and Education Support School 
    • East Butler Primary School

    The Round One winners have been awarded a total of $26,370  in grants, helping 739 teachers and  8,332 students. The range of projects includes an: 

    • onsite composting system,
    • permaculture garden,
    • sensory garden,
    • Aboriginal bush tucker program,
    • Indigenous outdoor learning area and yarning circle  and
    • Sustainable kitchen garden. 

    Since launching the Teachers Environment Fund we have provided over $390,000 in grants to 156 schools, helping more than 8,100 teachers and 95,000 students.
