These Website terms of use (“Terms”) explain what happens when you visit our website.

Membership of Teachers Mutual Bank

If you work in the Australian education sector or you are a family member or partner of a TMB member – you may join TMB.

We do not accept any application for membership from a person who is not an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia. We reserve the right not to admit any person to membership. 

Products and services

Information on our website regarding products and services does not constitute an offer or inducement by us for these products and services.

Unless otherwise specified, the products and services described on our website are available only in Australia.1

No reliance

Whilst we make every endeavour to ensure that the material on our website is accurate and up to date, we cannot always guarantee the accuracy or completeness of all our material. You must refer to specific information and material (eg, membership eligibility criteria, Financial Services Guide, product terms and conditions), before making any decision about applying for membership or any of our products and services.

Accessing our website from mobile devices

If you access our website from a mobile device, you may not be able to access the full range of functionality otherwise available. You must not make any application for membership, or apply for a product or service, until you have accessed all necessary information and material.

Your use of our website is at your own risk. We do not guarantee that our websites are free from viruses, or that access to our sites will be uninterrupted. You should therefore ensure that the way you access our websites does not expose your equipment to the risk of viruses or other forms of interference which may damage it.

We use social media to keep our members, customers and followers informed about us and our activities.

If you access social media (including our pages) from our website, you leave our website. Social media providers have their own privacy policies and security levels, which we suggest you verify before using a site. We cannot and do not endorse any content (other than that created by us) which may be found on these sites.

We will never ask you via social media to provide any of your banking details. Please refer to our community guidelines for Facebook.

As noted, we have a number of business partners and affiliated organisations.

Our website may contain links to their websites. With regard to our business partners and affiliates: 

  • their products and services and any software downloads are issued by or licensed to them; and 
  • we do not provide any guarantees or warranties regarding such products and services and other material provided by our business partners and affiliates.

We may receive commissions if you purchase products and services from our business partners and affiliated organisations.

Emails

We monitor the content of incoming emails for security purposes. We also monitor outgoing emails for quality assurance.

Whilst we strive to ensure that our website is always available, there may be times when it we cannot guarantee that:

  • our website will be virus free.

If any time it appears to you that any functionality on our website is unavailable or malfunctioning, you must not proceed with any transaction.
