Target Market Determination (TMD)
What is a Target Market Determination (TMD)?
A Target Market Determination (TMD) is a document that explains who a product is designed for. It describes the type of customers the product is likely to suit, including their goals, financial situation, and needs.
The TMD also sets out how the product can be sold or distributed and explains when and how we will review the product to make sure it continues to meet the needs of the target market.
