Method of entry Entry is made by completing a “Win $1,000 Term Deposit competition” entry form and placing it into the entry box displayed at the Bank’s sponsorship or conference events held during the competition period. Entries are limited to one per person at each conference attended. Eligibility Those eligible to enter must: be at least 18 years of age be members of the Bank or non-members eligible to join under the Constitution of the Mutual Bank, and attend a conference sponsored by the Bank held between 21 January 2019 and 10pm AEDT on 9 December 2019 Membership eligibility criteria apply to join the Bank. For non-members who would like to enter into the competition, please check if you meet the eligibility criteria for joining. Please speak to a Bank representative at the function to check if you are eligible to join. The following are not eligible to enter: Directors of the Bank Members of the Members Committee Employees of the Bank and members of their family (spouse, partner, parent, grandparent, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother or sister). Draw details Lucky door prizes At each NSW conference (dates, locations and time to be confirmed), one (1) lucky door prize up to the value of $50 will be drawn by a the Bank Sponsorship representative and the winner’s name will be announced at the conference. The total number of lucky draw prizes is the same as the number of conferences held (estimated to be around 100 conferences in 2019). Term Deposit prize Every entry form submitted at each conference held between 21 January 2019 and 10pm AEDT on 9 December 2019 will go into the draw to win one (1) x $1,000 term deposit. This will be drawn from a barrel by the Bank’s representative at 10.30am AEDT on Monday 16th December 2019 at 28-38 Powell Street, Homebush NSW 2140. Winner notification Lucky door prizes The winners of the lucky door prize will be drawn by the Bank’s Sponsorship representative and their names announced immediately at each conference. The winners need to be in attendance to claim the prize. Winners have four minutes to claim their prize before a redraw occurs. Term Deposit prize The term deposit winner will be telephoned and sent advice by mail on the day of the draw (Monday, 16 December 2019). The winner’s name will be published under the Community section of the Bank’s website on 19 December 2019. Prize details Lucky door prizes At each conference, one (1) lucky draw prize up to the value of $50 each will be drawn by the Bank’s Sponsorship representative at the completion of each conference. Term Deposit prize Every entry form submitted in each conference will go into a draw to win one (1) prize of $1,000 term deposit. The winner will be drawn from a barrel at 10.30am AEDT on Monday 5th December 2016 by a the Bank representative at 28‐38 Powell Street, Homebush NSW 2140. The $1,000 prize will be deposited into a term deposit for six months at the Bank if the winner is a member of the Bank. If the winner is not a member of the Bank, they will be required to become a member within three months to claim the prize. The prize(s) are not transferable and non‐redeemable for cash. Please note that a tax liability may arise with regard to a prize payable in connection with any investment account you have with us. You do not have to provide us with your TFN, but we are obliged to withhold tax at the highest marginal rate (plus the Medicare levy) from any cash prize if we do not have your TFN. Please seek your own advice if you are uncertain as to any aspect of these issues. Unclaimed prizes Term Deposit prize Any unclaimed prizes will be redrawn on Monday 16 March 2020 at 10.30am AEDT at 28-38 Powell Street, Homebush NSW 2140 subject to any direction given under applicable law. The winners will be telephoned and sent advice by mail on Monday 16 March 2020. The winner’s name will be published under the Community section of the Bank’s website by Thursday 26 March 2020. Promoter’s details The promoter is Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, ABN 30 087 650 459 AFSL/Australian Credit Licence No 238981, 28‐38 Powell Street, Homebush NSW 2140. Winner's consent for promotion In the event they are a winner, entrants must consent to the promoter using their name and photographs in any media for an unlimited period of time for the purpose of promoting, publicising or marketing this promotion and promoting any products and services by the promoter. Indemnity and disclaimer You agree to release and indemnify the Bank and its agents and employees from and against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury, damage to property and whether direct, consequential or foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise. The Bank is not responsible or liable: if for any reason beyond the Bank’s reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided. The Bank, in its absolute discretion, may substitute a different prize in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions if, for any reason, the competition is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity for late, lost or misdirected entries for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the publishing date and the date the prize is claimed. Any changes to your Promotion and/or Terms and Conditions relating to your promotion (including prize variations, cancellation or suspension of your promotion), are subject to the approval of all relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments. All entries become the property of the Bank. The Bank has the right to exclude any person from this competition for any reason whatsoever and to amend these terms and conditions at any time or cancel the competition subject to state regulation.
