Teachers Mutual Bank is proud to announce Sue Milford as the recipient of a Teachers Mutual Bank School Sport Teacher Recognition Award. Sue Milford began her teaching at St Marys High School and in 1978 became involved with the Sydney West School Sport Association with her election into the position of Sydney West Diving Convener. It is no secret that the efforts of Sue Milford have enabled the continuation and success of the sport of diving in the Sydney West Region in both the Primary and Secondary Associations. Sue has been described as the backbone of Sydney West Diving. Whilst undertaking the role of Sydney West Diving Convener, Sue also saw fit to dedicate her time and energies to other sport administration positions. These include being the Sydney West Trampoline Convener from 1978 till 1985, the CHS Diving Convener from 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 then from 1998 to 2013, the NSW All Schools Diving Convener from 1998 till 2013, the Pacific School Games Diving Convener/Manager in 1984, 2000 and 2008 as well as the School Sport Australia National Diving Secretary from 2004 till 2013. Sue has always displayed a great deal of interest in the talents and possible futures of all of the students under her care. She has dedicated an enormous amount of time in catering for the betterment of sport in the Sydney West Region and has been a valued and committed member of the Sydney West School Sports Association for many years. We would like to thank Sue for her contribution to the teaching community.
