SMS and email alerts

You can easily monitor your account activity with our unlimited SMS and email alerts. This way you’ll know when deposits have been made to your account or when your balance has changed – you set them up to meet your needs and make your banking easy.

| Deposit account balance above a set amount |
You will receive an SMS or email alert (or both) when your account balance exceeds a limit that you have pre-set. Useful if you are saving for a goal. |
| Deposit account balance below a set amount |
You will receive an SMS or email alert (or both) when your account balance falls below a limit that you have pre-set. This helps you avoid overdrawing your account. |
| A deposit equal to or exceeding a nominated amount |
You will receive an SMS or email alert (or both) when a deposit is made to your account that is equal to or greater than an amount that you have pre-set. This is useful if you want to know when your pay hits your account, or you are waiting for a specific deposit. |
Setting up your mobile alerts
- Log into internet banking
- Go into the ‘other’ menu and choose the alerts option
- Set up a new alert and choose the account to which it refers
- Select the type of alert to receive (account balance or account deposit)
- Choose the balance amount to monitor (balance below or above)
- Pick either an email or SMS alert, or both by ticking both options
SMS balances
If you want your account balance immediately you can send us an SMS and we will reply with your balance. It’s that easy.
To get started, you need to register – you can do this within internet banking or by completing an Phone banking services request.
Once registered you simply text the word ‘BAL’ to 0417 13 12 21 and a free text message will be sent to your mobile phone for your Everyday transaction account.
To request balances for any of your other accounts simply add the account type as outlined below:
‘BAL (space) S2’
‘BAL (space) I10’
‘BAL (space) L22’
