General information about internet banking
Internet banking provides you with secure access to your accounts via a computer connected to the internet. Find out more about the features and benefits of internet banking.
To register for internet banking complete an Internet banking services form. On a joint account, both holders will need to complete a form.
If you have forgotten or misplaced your access code, please contact us or alternatively speak to us via web chat 8.30am and 5pm, weekdays.
It is a requirement, under the ePayments Code, that your internet banking access code must not be shared with anyone, including family members.
Yes, you can transfer funds to another account within Australia by selecting External transfers which is located within Payments and Transactions menu. You will need the BSB number, account number and account name of the destination account.
External transfers take 1 to 2 business days to be received by the other Australian financial institution.
Yes, you can set up a future payment to pay bills or transfer funds using internet banking. Simply select the Pay Later option when making the transfer. This will allow you to nominate a Single Future Payment or a Regular Future Payment including the frequency of the payment.
The default external daily transfer limit is $5,000 which applies to all external transactions - BPAY and External transfers. You can increase or decrease this limit by completing an Internet banking services form.
To request a permanent daily transfer limit greater than $5,000 you must have either an activated security token or be registered for SMS security.
To opt out of receiving paper statements, log in to internet banking and select Change preferences from the 'eCommunication and Consent' menu. Select the Electronic option next to Statements to stop receiving paper statements. You can also change other communication preferences in this screen, for Marketing, Product change information and Notices. Remember to complete your details including email address and click Submit.
Your request to opt out of paper statements may not take effect until after your next paper statement is received.
To view your online statements, you must be logged into internet banking. Click View statements in the 'eCommunication and Consent' menu. Please note, for security reasons, statements will not be emailed to you directly. You will receive an email notifying you when a new statement is available to view in internet banking.
To update your address, contact phone numbers or email address, select the Update Details button located within the Other menu in internet banking.
We have introduced one time password technology to further protect internet banking users. This one time password is generated by a security token or sent via SMS to your mobile phone and provides an extra layer of security to protect your accounts against fraudulent activity.
You can order a security token or register for SMS security by logging into internet banking and selecting Security Options located under the Other menu.
If you do not have your security device with you, please contact us. As both services are free, we recommend registering for both a security token and SMS security for your convenience.
After you have registered you can redraw funds via internet banking. You will need to:
- Select List of Accounts located under the Account Information menu
- Select the loan from which you wish to redraw
- You will then be able to see the transaction buttons under the Process Redraw heading
- Select the appropriate transfer type you would like to do - Transfer, External transfer or BPAY and continue with the transaction.
If you are unable to see the above transaction buttons please contact us.
If the Internet banking log on page is not opening when you select the internet banking ‘Login’ button on our home page, it may have been blocked by a pop-up blocker.
There are a number of pop-up blockers that you may have on your system. Most can be either disabled or configured, to allow pop-ups from specific sites.
Internet Explorer 8 has a built in pop-up blocker which is accessible from the Tools menu. If you choose to leave it enabled, add teacherscreditunion.com.au to the exception list.
Alternatively a firewall may be blocking access to the page. If this is the case you will need to contact the software vendor for further assistance.
