Visa Easy Payment Service introduces automatic approval for transactions

Have you noticed recently that some of your card purchases are being automatically approved without the need for your PIN or signature? This feature is moving fast and is being embraced by more and more retailers including supermarkets, car parks, pharmacies, dry cleaners, fast food restaurants, cinemas, service stations and taxis.

Visa Easy Payment Service allows retailers to accept Visa debit, credit and prepaid cards without obtaining the cardholder’s signature or PIN, for transactions under $35. The service is designed to increase transaction speed and cardholder convenience.

A range of major retailers including Coles, Kmart and Woolworths have joined McDonald’s in providing Visa Easy Payment Service, which is designed to make it faster and more convenient for customers to pay with a Visa credit, debit or prepaid card. Coles supermarkets and Kmart stores will be introducing the service as Fast Pay.
