Teachers Credit Union visits Tweed Heads
08 June 2007
Teachers Credit Union will visit Tweed Heads on the 18th June, offering Credit Union mmbers the convenience of on-site loan applications, low or no fee daily access accounts as well as general financial advice.
Teachers Credit Union staff travel to towns and regions and provide an opportunity for the Credit Union's mmbers to access a "mobile" bank office, rather than travel to Sydney to the Credit Union's main office.
The Credit Union has more than 142,000 members, with many located in rural and regional areas.
With such a large mmber base spread throughout NSW and more than 1,800 members living in the Tweed Heads region, Teachers Credit Union is at the forefront of providing innovative services to such a geographically spread membership. As an example, over 70% of its mmbers use the Credit Union's free internet banking service.
Members of Teachers Credit Union benefit from some of the lowest fees, best interest rates, and best service offered by any Australian financial institution.
Their Teachers Credit Card, Fixed Option Housing Loan, All Purpose Loans, New Car Loans and Used Car Loans have all been awarded 5 Stars by CANNEX for excellence. Their credit card has no annual fee, a true 55 day interest free period on purchases, and an introductory 6 month interest rate of 7.90% pa (11.50% pa thereafter).
This low fee, better service difference provided to all Teachers Credit Union members extends to the provision of a Mobile Office facility.
The Mobile Office provides Credit Union members with easy access to Credit Union staff. Members can use the Mobile Office to apply for a housing or personal loan or Teachers Credit Card, open an account and discuss all their banking needs. The Mobile Office gives Members access to all the Credit Union's services except depositing and withdrawing cash.
Teachers Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in Australia with more than 142,000 members, assets of $1.85 billion and has the highest member retention rate of any Australian credit union. It is open to teachers and administrative staff in public schools and TAFEs in NSW, ACT and NT as well as to members of their families.
Teachers Credit Union Mobile Office is open to all members, their guest/partner, and all family members from 4.00pm to 6.30pm on Monday 18th June at the Twin Towns Services Club, Wharf Street, Tweed Heads.
