Flood victim assistance
We have put together an assistance package for members experiencing financial difficulties as a result of these floods. We want to provide the best service that we can to these members in this difficult time. We want managing their finances to be the least of their worries.
Our assistance package includes:
- Repayment assistance - Each member’s situation is reviewed individually and solutions are developed to suit their specific circumstances. Some things that we are doing include reducing repayments or halting them for a short period of time, waiving late payment fees etc.
- Provision of emergency credit
- Waiving of card replacement fees where cards have been lost in the flood
- Refunding of fees where members have had difficulties accessing cash due to the unavailability of ATMs or eftpos facilities and have had to pay ATM or other access fees
- Full interest will be paid on term deposits should the term need to be broken
Following the tragic loss of human life as a result of this flooding, our thoughts are with those members, staff and their families affected by this event and we will continue to take all necessary steps to assist as quickly as possible.
Donating to the flood victims
The Credit Union Foundation of Australia has set up an appeal to assist flood victims. If you would like to donate through the Australian Mutuals' Queensland Flood Relief Appeal you can do so online, by cheque, and at our Homebush or Rooty Hill office. Donate to this appeal here. All donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible.
