We're again an Employer of Choice for Women

On International Women's Day, we are proud to announce we are again an Employer of Choice for Women (EOCFW), for the fourth year running. Teachers Credit Union was one of only 98 organisations to receive the 2011 citation from the EOWA.

The EOCFW citation is awarded to non-government organisations with more than 100 employees that have demonstrated they have policies and practices supporting women across the organisation, achieving positive outcomes for both women and the business.

“Bolstering gender equality in workplaces is not just a social justice issue; these organisations represent smart business management. They are positioning themselves to attract and retain the best female talent in what is still a highly competitive market for skilled employees. Women now represent just over 50% of university graduates and are a huge proportion of the talent pool” said Maira Steele, acting director of the EOWA.
