Our BSB number will be changing to 812-170 from 802-194. 

We understand that our BSB change affects all direct credits and debits, so we want to ensure that you have all the help you need to make the change over to our new BSB.

We are currently negotiating with major direct credit and debit suppliers to globally change our BSB details so that you won’t need to contact them. You’ll find a list of these suppliers below. Check back regularly to see if any new ones have been added to the list.


Get in early and update your BSB details now

If any of your direct debit/credit suppliers aren’t listed below, contact them now to notify them of our new BSB details. That way, you’ll be prepared well in advance for the BSB change, which means no last-minute hassles.

To ensure a smooth transition over to our new BSB number, we have provided direct credit and direct debit advice letters online to help you complete this process.

These are simple, downloadable forms which can be completed online and printed at your convenience. You can then provide the completed forms to your direct debit/credit supplier so that they’ll know our new BSB details.

> Direct debit advice letter - for payments deducted from your account.

Identifying your direct debit/credits

There are steps you can take to identify your direct debit/credits so that you know exactly who you need to contact to let them know about our BSB change.

Here's how:

1. Transaction History

Log in to internet banking. In the ‘Description’ field under ‘Transaction History’, you can easily identify your direct debits and credits – these will be displayed as either ‘DIRECT DEBIT’ or ‘DIRECT CREDIT’. The ‘Description’ field will also include a ‘From:’ section’ – this is the supplier you will need to send your completed form to.


2. External Transfers

Do you have credits from other financial institutions coming into your Teachers Mutual Bank account? Perhaps friends or family members transfer funds from their financial institutions to your account? If that’s the case, you’ll need to ask them to log in to their financial institution’s internet banking service and update the BSB number they have saved under your account information as a payee.


3. Your financial statement

Take the time to review your last 2-3 months’ statements and identify your credits and debits now. If your credit/debit suppliers aren’t on the list provided below, act early and let them know we’ve changed our BSB. This will save you time and hassle later on. Log in to internet banking for quick and easy reference to your previous statements.
